SAVE THE DATE: Mock Admissions Event for Grades 10-11 Students and Parents 1/11/24

Who Gets In and Why?

Grade 10 and 11 Families: Please mark your calendars for you and/or your child to attend this Mock Admissions program on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 6:30 pm. This is an amazing event you will not regret attending. Please RSVP through this Google Form.

A mock admissions committee gives you the role of an admissions committee member at a college. Through your work on the mock admissions committee, led by one of the admissions deans, you will gain insights as to what it takes to come out ahead in the competitive college admissions process. You will learn the techniques that make applicants successful. Through the program, you will also learn how students can highlight their unique qualities and write successful applications.

The admissions committees in which you will take part will each be chaired by an esteemed college admissions dean from the following institutions: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Duke University, Boston College, Northwestern University, Vanderbilt University, Olin College of Engineering, Providence College, Rollins College, Southern Methodist University, Tufts University, Wake Forest University, Babson College, Lynn University, and the Universities of Boston, Virginia, Central Florida, Maryland, and Miami. The deans will lead mock admissions committee meetings where both parents and students will actively take part as members in a small group setting.

There are many modes of study that our students can use to prepare for their SAT or ACT tests. The right choice for your student will be the one that fits your family’s budget and schedule and is available in the learning platform that best suits the student's needs.

The CGO has arranged with several well-known providers to offer affordable test prep options. Advantage Testing of Boca Raton will offer an in-person, on-campus class to prepare students for both the SAT and ACT.
